TEACHER MOBILITY – « GREEN FUTURE » COURSE - IDEVELOP
In June 2023, Mrs Petoin and
Fabisch participated in a staff mobility Erasmus + project in Tenerife. They took part to the
course titled « Green Future » completely taught in English that allows them to learn more
about environmental and social issues (refering to the 17 sustainable development goals)
and pedagogical strategies to teach them to their students.
What did they do?
They were taught about different aspects of the sustainable development goals and the
way to teach them to their students : teaching sustainability in classroom, responsible
consumption and production, fast fashion, plastic pollution, greenwashing, circular
economy. For instance, they visited an hotel showing sustainable aspects of their working.
What did they learn ?
- Fluency in sustainable development specific vocabulary in English
- Tools for implementing sustainable projects of varying scale with students : challenges
using social networks, collection of invasive plants or waste on the beach and in the forest,
discovery of applications to educate on sustainable development, quizzes, debates, role-
playing.
- Knowledge, challenges and solutions on the different themes of responsible consumption
and production, fast fashion, plastic pollution, greenwashing, circular economy.
