WATER.WORDS METHOD AND FRENCH ACTIVITIES ("in the BEGINNING")

You 'll find in our Twinspace some proposals from French team in order to make some good transnational cooperation works together. By now, we are just doing a list of French students with a few words about "Who's Who". Then we'll write asap in our "profile" what every pupil involved in this project is waiting for (hoping). 
Please you to make your own class list and to check if every people is well connected in our network (it is necessary that a teacher has put your name and a password was given to you). 
You may spend a couple of minutes (please) to go to your profile to tell us what is the most interesting thing you want to find for yourself in this partnership...
Last but not least: what do you think about the choice of a an animal instead of a personnal pic to edit it in your e-T profile?
We would like all the partners may complete these preliminary tasks  before Xmas holidays and the real cooperation to start from January.

NUITS BLANCHES, LAST WORDS

The end of the project was the 31st of August, 2018.
But final reports must be done later and had to be sent to the Erasmus+ national agencies till yesterday, the 31st of October.
It was done by French partner, who also sent today (as he was the international coordinator) several files to the european valorization platform. FINAL REPORT AND QUALITY CONTROL FOR NUITS BLANCHES

REMINDER
Every national coordinator is supposed to fill a final report online. This task must be implemented after the end of the partnership (the 31st of August) and people have two months to finish (it means you must write your local report to you Erasmus+ agency before the 31st of October).
Do not send any form to your national agency before September or you will lost a part of your implementation grants !
It's important for you to make a good report in order to obtain all the promised european funds (last funds fall of 20%).

INTERNATIONAL COORDINATION
French team has a special report to do and has to answer to all critics made by the candidacy evaluators and to explain the changes we have done if the plan was not performed. Local final reports must be parallel to the French report but will be more explicits on the role your school had in the project. That's the reason why a brain storming about reporting was made during R5... and news will be given to you here about the French report's contents.

BREAKING NEWS THE 27th OF JULY

Erasmus+ agencies in France and Latvia do approve our eTwinning project for 2018-2019 whose name is WATER.WORDS (Water Pics and World). Please to "Nuits Blanches" project holders to remind themselves they were all interested in this new Programme made in order to keep in touch (and perhaps to imagine later new common activities and mobilities).
Now we are wating for all of you to begin to overcome from September this new pedagogic challenge.

Students had to vote for the best selfie on totalitarianism visiting "Trois ans de Nuits Blanches" exhibition in Lycée Ravel. We know who was the winner (n° 9).
Teachers must still prepare the productions we have decided to implement in R3 Riga.

TO BE CONTINUED

NBE+ strategic partnership is now finishing.
Not really yet, since project holders will meet in Turkey in June in order to finalize the intellectual outputs they had promised to disseminate.

Anyway it is not the end of international cooperation for LYCEE RAVEL's team. Other cultural pedagogic projects will be carried out next years and the High School is already involved in a  new ERASMUS+ KA2 partnership.

Most important: we'll keep in touch with our friends and colleagues from Cesme, Cluj-Napoca, Roma and Riga and have founded an international teachers league to freely cooperate in the future...

A NEW SCIENTIST TOTALITARIANISM? A SYNTHESIS ABOUT A FRENCH BRAIN STORMING

LE TRANSHUMANISME EST-IL UN POST-TOTALITARISME ?

Un régime post-totalitaire serait un régime qui ne prétendrait plus incarner une vérité absolue (à la différence des doctrines marxiste-léniniste ou national-socialiste) mais tirerait sa légitimité d’une expertise au service d’une efficacité pratique qui entend profiter au plus grand nombre.
Dans Le système totalitaire, Hannah Arendt avait dégagé les caractéristiques propres au totalitarisme : le système totalitaire serait un régime en mouvement, dynamique qui vise à détruire la réalité et les structures sociales. Elle décrit le totalitarisme comme un mouvement « international dans son organisation, universel dans sa visée idéologique, planétaire dans ses aspirations politiques ».
Le transhumanisme (encore appelé post-humanisme) prône quant à lui  l'usage des sciences et des techniques afin d'améliorer les caractéristiques physiques et mentales des êtres humains. Ses ennemis à abattre sont : le handicap, la souffrance, la maladie, le vieillissement et la mort subie. En 1988, le premier numéro d'Extropy Magazine fut publié par Max More et Tom Morrow. En 1990, More créa sa propre doctrine transhumaniste qu'il exprima sous la forme des Principles of Extropy (« Principes de l'Extropie ») et jeta les bases du transhumanisme en lui donnant une nouvelle définition : « le transhumanisme est une classe de philosophies ayant pour but de nous guider vers une condition posthumaine.
Le transhumanisme partage de nombreuses valeurs avec l'humanisme parmi lesquelles un respect de la raison et de la science, un attachement au progrès et une grande considération pour l'existence humaine (ou transhumaine) dans cette vie. […] Le transhumanisme diffère de l'humanisme en ce qu'il reconnaît et anticipe les changements radicaux de la nature et des possibilités de nos vies provoqués par diverses sciences et techniques […]. » Le transhumanisme prétend donc utiliser les biotechnologies à visée de progrès perpétuel et optimisme pratique. Dans le sens où il s’adresse à tous, le transhumanisme possède bien les caractères du totalitarisme, mais un totalitarisme de type nouveau parce qu’il vise le progrès et qu’il est résolument optimiste quand le totalitarisme tel que décrit par Hannah Arendt plonge les êtres humains dans un état de désolation visant à pétrifier l’individu. Le transhumanisme s’adresse avant tout à l’individu quand le totalitarisme s’intéresse aux masses. Le transhumanisme est donc bien comme un post-totalitarisme dans le double sens du mot « post » : un régime qui en a fini avec ce qui précède par le passage des masses aux individus et, deuxième sens, un régime qui pourtant en reproduit le mécanisme en s’en présentant comme le prolongement fatal et nécessaire.
Du point de vue des élèves, le rapprochement avec le mythe du surhomme et l'eugénisme propre aux état totalitaires du XXème siècle, l'absence de liberté  devant la force de l'injonction et le mépris pour la dignité de "l'être humain nature" ou pire malade ou handicapé est source d'un effroi comparable...




A post-totalitarian regime would be a regime that no longer claims to embody an absolute truth (unlike the Marxist-Leninist or National-Socialist doctrines) but derives its legitimacy from an expertise at the service of practical efficiency that intends to benefit at most large number .In the totalitarian system, Hannah Arendt had identified the characteristics of a totalitarian system: it would be a regime in motion, dynamic that aims to destroy reality and social structures. She describes totalitarianism as a movement "international in its organization, universal in its ideological, planetary aim in its political aspirations".
Transhumanism (also called post-humanism) advocates the use of science and technology to improve the physical and mental characteristics of human beings. Its enemies to be defeated are: disability, suffering, illness, aging and death. In 1988, the first issue of Extropy Magazine was published by Max More and Tom Morrow. In 1990, More created his own transhumanist doctrine, which he expressed in the form of the Principles of Extropy, and laid the foundations for transhumanism by giving it a new definition: "Transhumanism is a class of philosophies." aiming to guide us to a posthuman condition.
Transhumanism shares many values ​​with humanism, including a respect for reason and science, an attachment to progress and a great consideration for human (or transhuman) existence in this life. [...] Transhumanism differs from humanism in recognizing and anticipating radical changes in the nature and possibilities of our lives caused by various sciences and techniques [...]. Transhumanism thus claims to use biotechnologies for the purpose of perpetual progress and practical optimism. In the sense that it is addressed to all, transhumanism has the characteristics of totalitarianism, but a totalitarianism of a new type because it aims at progress and is resolutely optimistic when the totalitarianism as described by Hannah Arendt plunges human beings in a state of desolation aimed at petrifying the individual. Transhumanism is primarily for the individual when totalitarianism is concerned with the masses. Transhumanism is thus a post-totalitarianism in the double sense of the word "post": a regime that has ended with the preceding passage through the passage of the masses to individuals and, second sense, a regime that nevertheless reproduces the mechanism presenting it as the fatal and necessary extension. 




According to the students, the rapprochement with the myth of the superman and eugenics peculiar to the totalitarian state of the twentieth century, the absence of freedom before the force of the injunction and contempt for the dignity of "the human being nature "or worse sick or disabled is a source of comparable dread...

Informations we shared between project holders (note FM6 and last post we published  in this blog) are beginning to be disseminated to pupils, parents and everybody in the communitiy. 
A presentation was done yesterday in front of Lycée Ravel Administration Council's members.
We hope now to have answers for all remaining problems to overcome 
(agenda, tranportation and cost) next week...
and we pray our friends to send us files they'd like to be valorized 
before the 1st of april.
About presentations students could do: we'll have to make a little brain storming ! 
It's not necessary to make something very complicated but we'lll have to choose a theme.

TRAINING ACTIVITY AND GREETINGS FROM RIGA

was the first parallel study previously planned for this third partnership's year.

This transnational cooperative acticity is now finished and Latvian team is organizing dissemination
at school  about the results.

Two other Historical subjects were choosen as possible ways to cooperate
by project holders at the end of Riga meeting R3
as you can see in our Gant Chart (website NBE+)
or transnational notes.


And we'll do as soon as possible a debate between pupils on fears of the futures

TOTALITARIANISM : Les peurs de demain


En conclusion de notre étude du totalitarisme, chaque lycée devait identifier les deux plus grandes peurs pour demain  : voici celles qui ont été  considérées dans chaque pays comme les  plus graves.

RO : uniformisation culturelle, guerre
TR : dérèglement climatique, crise sanitaire
LV : dérèglement climatique, guerre, 
IT : dérèglement climatique, crise migratoire
FR : dérèglement climatique, fin de l'humanité remplacée par les machines




A priori, c'est donc le réchauffement climatique et ses conséquences qui pourraient susciter les plus grandes craintes pour l'avenir. Néanmoins, d'autre  peurs (classées en troisième ou quatrième position par tel ou tel équipe) ont été écartées de ce tableau de résultats malgré leur prégnance (peur du terrorisme ou déclassement social, d'une catastrophe astronomique... voire d'une invasion extra-terrestre ! etc.). Nous proposerons aux élèves de débattre pour vérifier quelles sont véritablement leurs peurs.
