V. Peraudeau was in charge with follow up of our main common studies, based on books and theatre but she did it only for two years, and stayed focused on local activities done with her class group.
She have had theoreticallly  to collect and upload online informations about literary approach on the following themes:


During the 1st pedagogic phase : Studies focused on the myth of Dracula and Night creatures
and rewrites of the myth

During the 2nd phase : Preparation of the final Festival

Vivienne Péraudeau : Objectifs du deuxième trimestre (janvier-mars)

  • Transposition dans le genre poétique
  • Recherche d’une forme graphique
Moyens mis en œuvre
  • Ecriture d’un poème : l’objectif était de condenser dans une forme courte les premiers travaux 
  • (début janvier)
  • Découverte du genre du roman-photo : de « Nel fondo del cuore » paru en 1947 dans la revue italienne Il Moi Sogno jusqu’aux recherches contemporaines, souvent collaboratives (cf les éditions Thierry Magnier ou Le Photographe de Guibert, Lefèvre et Lemercier). (mi-janvier)
  • Prises de vue courant mars.
Au terme de la période, les élèves ont appris :
- à travailler le style d’un texte pour lui donner un caractère poétique
- à raconter une histoire en images photographiques
- à réfléchir à la place des phylactères (lien texte-image)
- à prendre des photos !

LATVIA 
Now involved in the project, pupils write an essay (rewriting) "On the way I'm afraid the time of the darkness". Essays will be used to prepare a short theatrical performance for short-term exchanges of groups of pupils (C4), which is planned in Turkey, Cesme - from 09.05.2017. to 13.05.2017.

Objectifs du premier trimestre (septembre-décembre) : comprendre le principe des réécritures.
  • Travailler sur les diverses formes et motivations des réécritures, conformément à l’objet d’étude spécifique de la classe de 1ère L.
  • Réfléchir aux différentes formes de peur par un travail sémantique et une réflexion sur son sens philosophique.
Moyens mis en œuvre 
- lecture et analyse de réécritures de la figure de Don Juan pour approfondir les notions d’adaptation et transposition.
- travail de recherche sur les peurs collectives et/ou personnelles.
- travail sur les changements de registres dans les adaptations cinématographiques autour de la figure du vampire.
- voyage d’étude à Cluj Napoca : 
visites des mines de Turda, du château de Huniazilor, etc.

LORS DE C3 Chaque lycée a approfondi un ou plusieurs aspects de l’expression de la peur :
  • Le lycée français a particulièrement travaillé sur les peurs dans une approche historique.
  • Le lycée italien a mené et présenté un travail de transposition (aquarelle et dessin).
  • Les lycées roumain et lettons ont présenté les peurs contemporaines.
  • Le lycée turc a présenté une scène théâtrale sur la peur.
  • L’auteur et homme de théâtre Jean-Marc Toto a proposé une lecture d’une de ses créations sur le thème de la créature de la nuit.

Au terme de la période, les élèves ont appris à questionner les différentes possibilités de réécriture.
  • Ils ont vu les possibilités offertes par le changement de genre.
  • Ils ont perçu l’universalité de la peur.
  • Ils ont mis en place un scénario général pour leur réécriture

  • Activities from September to November in Cesme.
    The birth of myths, articles about myths, theses, university resources were searched. We contacted with Mr. Seçkin SARPKAYA, a lecturer and Turkish Folklore Ph.D. student at the Ege University Turkish Research Institute. On the advice of Mr. Seçkin SARPKAYA students prepared slides in September-October 2016. A creative authoring workshop was held to create scenarios about myth of fear and Dracula's legend. The study on the rewriting of the Dracula legend was given to Ramona Zeta in the Cluj-Napoca C3 movement in Romania. 
    Activities from September to November in Cluj-Napoca
    The Colegiul Iulian Pop did literary studies for NB+ in theclassrooms in september 2016.
     Teachers studied the books about vampires with  students because they considered that this will be helpfull for the C3 meeting
    SEPTEMBRE cours de Francais : A l'occasion de la  journée européenne des langues, étude  des vampires dans la littérature et le cinéma.Lectures des fragments des livres et visionnement d'extraits de films (Zetea Ramona).
    OCTOBRE, après les cours : recherche personnelle des élèves sur les « Pistes pour la réécriture du mythes de Dracula » puis proposition aux partenaires pour des ateliers de réécriture litteraires et artistiques lors de C4
    Activities from September to November in Riga.
     Literature lessons : high school classes were taught how to write stories, essays, read examples of the world's classics. The students read M. Shelley's "Frankenstein" and wrote a brief description                             of the book.
    Activities from September to November in Roma.
    Class IV H has worked with their teacher of English, Edda Cerasi, to complete the second part of the Project The Supernatural : Extensive Reading +  Listening (and all written and oral activities practising the four Skills,  Dossiers, exit test, WebActivities ), of three Short Stories by Masters of English and American Mystery and Horror/ Ghostly Literature. One of the 3 books : A Message from a Ghost, has been chosen to obtain a  Script  for Theatre as example of re-writing.
    The script+ descriptions of characters, settings in time and places, plots of single chapters and list of  psychological and literary devices, have been used by V B Graphic Designers' students, to produce a Cartoon in Power Point, posted in UTube  and presented in Cluj Napoca. From The Supernatural  the IV H students have produced a work in  Power Point : Ghosts in Films, a study of fortune, plots and soundtracks of cult or very famous movies from different countries. We have had the opportunity and the pleasure to work together with a teacher of music, Agostino Marzoli, a new resource of the school.
     Together with Lara Solco, their teacher of Italian,  the IV H class has studied  the figure of the Vampire in Italian Literature, then they have re-written the myth producing Victor's Story illustrated by Samantha, one of the pupils of Graphic Designer Course of the Institute.
    The IV H class has had an introduction to Stoker's Novel Dracula and his connection with the idea of eternity, and few info about Transylvania, by their teacher of English.
    Inviato dal PadFoneLast work produced at point 7 is another re-writing of the myth of the Vampire after a brain storming with the pupils: Boody and the bloody Hell, in short story format, which might be illustrated during the following months.

2nd Survey Period

Objectives of the 3rd term: work on human fears.
Understand that the creation of the vampire is based on man's immemorial fears and that both have evolved in parallel.
Implementation-read extracts from original texts, by Stoker and rewriting works with the preliminary question : what frightens the reader ?-study of the historical context of the different vampire stories or films.-understand the persistence of the myth while the very existence of vampires is now totally refuted.- work on the different degrees of fear (semantic approach)- study the related sources of fears in vampire novels or films : woman, death, science...

At the end of the term, the students have :
-understood that the fear inspired by vampires is the expression of man's more existential fears
           - made the difference between fears and phobias
           - reflected on their own present fears in preparation for the rewriting task.
Objectives of the second term (January-March): 19th century literature.
Discover the vampire.
Understand the evolution of the Vampire through centuries (rewritings of the myth in old or recent movies).

during the second term (January-March) : 19th century literature.
Discover the vampire.
Understand the evolution of the Vampire through centuries (rewritings of the myth in old or recent movies).

By the end of this period the students have learnt to:
-       Confront the different origins of the myth of the Vampire.
-       Perceive the heritage of the novel by stoker compared to the founding texts.
-       Understand the evolution of the Vampire figure through the analysis of extracts from 19th century texts.
-       Confront the different adaptations of the myth of the Vampire in movies, by observing the evolution of the figure from the Monster towards a seductive figure, and how the Vampire relates to contemporary issues.

** During the first trimester : work on the night creatures  and/or bloodthirsty creatures in Ancient literature 
(Iliad, Bible, Metamorphoses)
By the end of this period, the students have learnt to question some founding texts
-    They have learnt that the figure / character of the vampire and /or of the blood thirsty  figure is closely related to the origins of literature.
-   They have discovered the universality of night-related myths thanks to the first study trip and also by   exploring Nordic, South American and Asian literature
    
The Italian school has dealt with Trajan and roman sources in depth.
   The Romanian school has worked on texts about local myths (the Flyer, and so on)  as Latvian 
and Turkish ones

TURKEY  As one of our tasks in the project is to mention about our two Legends, Şahmeran and Gulyabani, some of school teachers in the department of Literature and some of our students have attended in the third international Turkish States and World Cultural Congress based on the books of Dede Korkut ( Epic Stories of Oghuz Turks) which has been arranged by Aegean University between the dates of 9th and 23rd October 2015 at İzmir Çeşme Ilıca Hotel.
In accordance with our project, Hülya ÇELİKEL, one of the teachers of Turkish Language and Literature in our school, participated in 2nd International Children and Youth Literature Symposium held in İstanbul on 23-24 October.
