A LABEL FOR THE ILARGIA LEAGUE

La participation de notre association de professeurs européens - la "ligue ILARGIA" basée au Lycée Ravel de Saint-Jean-de-Luz, où elle a été créée en 2018 - aux commémorations de l'opération ARIEL a été labellisée. Il s'agissait d'organiser la réception d'une collègue polonaise (venue avec une étudiante) dans le cadre des cérémonies du 18 juin, et à l'occasion d'une conférence trilatérale des parties prenantes du projet interscolaire européen ACMÉ RESISTANCE - lequel n'est pas supporté par l'Union Européenne - ceci en vue d'organiser des échanges entre lycéens sur le thème de la défense des Libertés, l'Histoire et la Mémoire, et de valoriser l'histoire commune de la France et la Pologne dans le contexte local).    

ACMÉ RESISTANCE "Fight for Freedom" is valorized by a label given today by French authorities concerning the participation of the ILARGIA League and High SChools from Saint Jean de Luz (Lycée Ravel) and Kwidzyn in the celebrations of the Second World War. At the same time all the ACMÉ RESISTANCE members were in the meeting ACROSS BORDER (IRL with Polish and French representatives: from southen Basque Country #Beasain (BHI) #Basauri (BHI) #Pamploan (IES Plaza DeLa Cruz) / remotely involved Baldones vidduskola (Latvia) and Colegiul Economic Iulian Pop (Cluj-Napoca, Romania).

D'ors et déjà, la réception de lycéens Poméraniens (de la ville de Kwidzyn / Społeczne Liceum im. Polskich Noblistów w Kwidzynie) est prévue en mai 2025 - après qu'une délégation luzienne se sera rendue en Pologne aux environs de Pâques, en principe, et grâce au programme ERASMUS+ mis en poeuvre au Lycée Ravel. L'ambition de la Ligue est de faire travailler ensemble dans le cadre d'une éducation à la citoyenneté des écoles secondaires européennes, mais également des associations et d'autres institutions publiques. Elle est soutenue par la Ville, M le Maire ayant notamment convié la Ligue et son invitée lors des cérémonies officielles du  18 juin dernier. 

The participation of our association of European teachers - the "ILARGIA league" based at the Lycée Ravel in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, where it was created in 2018 - in the commemorations of Operation ARIEL was recognized. The aim was to organize the reception of a Polish colleague as part of the June 18 ceremonies, and on the occasion of a trilateral conference of the parties involved in the European interschool project ACMÉ RESISTANCE - which is not supported by the European Union - with a view to organizing exchanges between high schools on the theme of the defense of Freedoms, History and Memory, and to promote the common history of France and Poland in the local context.

The reception of Pomeranian high school students (from the town of Kwidzyn) is already planned for May 2025 after a Luzian delegation will have visited Poland thanks to ERASMUS+ accreditation's funds (certainly around Easter). The League's ambition is to bring together European secondary schools, but also associations and other public institutions, within the framework of citizenship education. It is supported by the City, the Mayor having notably invited the League and its guest during the official ceremonies of June 18th.

You ll' find very soon  in the same place the outputs of this study travel (first mobility in the cooperative pact done with Poland, Romania and Türkiye) and the follow up of the project.

Reminder: videos and pics  are numerous in our Facebook closed group and in the school websites (especially the Polish school's one). Our common propaganda is also inforced by posts in LegendE+ (the special website dedicated to mobilitites and partnerships coordinated by Lycée Ravel High School)

Obchody przyjaźni francusko-polskiej 21 czerwca 2022 r. w Saint-Jean-de-Luz

Célébration de l'amitié franco-polonaise le 21 juin 2022 à Saint-Jean-de-Luz à l'occasion de la commémoration de l'opération ARIEL (évacuation des forces alliées depuis la France envahie vers l'Angleterre en juin 1940).

Celebration of French-Polish friendship on June 21, 2022 in Saint-Jean-de-Luz on the occasion of the commemoration of Operation ARIEL (evacuation of Allied armies from the invaded territory of France to England made in June 1940). Some teachers were  representating the Lycée Ravel's pedagogicTeam. 

An opportunity to show the wish of our High School to make sustainable the relationship with our partner school in Kwidzin, and the good moment to warn the local authorities that our friends from Pomerania will be in our city from the 10th to the 14th of october (as members of the E+L.o.L. cooperation pact, including also both Cluj-Napoca in Romania and Antalya in  Türkiye).

Next study travels:

to France C1 from the 10^th to the 16^th of April (agenda was given earlier, see IC7).

to Romania C2 from the 30^th of may to the 3^rd of June/ or if it's a problem for some of you: from the 23^rd to the 27^th This mobiliy cannot be located elsewhere if the politic situation remains difficult (cause Latvia is also in eastern Europe): if we are not able to maintain C2, it means we'll have to postpone it to next school year wich would be a bad solution.

Second transnational meeting in Cluj R2: could be done in June (very late in the month).

LOCAL ACTIVITIES

Our pupils wil take part in the International Festival of Cartoons (FIBD in Angoulême the 18th of March). The visit can be considered as a workshop for helping eVe+ implementation. Give us informations of cultural activities you can do at home in order to make a dissemination in our common website http://quintessence.franceserv.eu/ We are waiting from you some drawings or portfolios about Nature and Energy to publish its and to valorize your local productions. We plan to show during C1 to your students how to upload some contents by themselves in the spot.

DRAWING CONTEST

Please ask to pupils in your school to imagine and do a drawing about the theme of your country (air in Turkiye, water in Latvia or Fire in Romania). Thez must do it on a A4 paper with only one colour (yellow, blue or red). If you can obtain the drawings before april ans scan its or come with, we'll mix the results to do a coat of arms during the "ice breaking" day.

POST SCRIPTUM we can do a videoconference to make a deal about some of these points if it isnecessary.

OUR NEW WEBSITE MADE IN Lycée Ravel FOR THE DISSEMINATION OF (ALMOST) ALL THE TRANSNATIONAL MOBILITIES FROM 2022 TO 2026

 

Un portail commun a été ouvert ce 2 mars 2022  pour que les échanges scolaires à venir au Lycée Ravel puissent être médiatisés dans un site unique.

Notamment :

les voyages d'étude du projet E+L.O.L piloté par M Vanderplancke et Mme Augé [LAND(S) OF LEGENDS] dont on trouvera par ailleurs des comptes-rendus dans le site des participants et coordinateurs des partenariats stratégiques NOTRE BUREAU ERASMUS+ NBE+ 

et les échanges que Le Lycée Ravel espère organiser demain avec la Norvège (projet FGC  de MMes Petoin et Fabich).

A common internet portal was opened on March 2, 2022 so that future school exchanges at Lycée Ravel can be publicized and disseminated in a single site.

Especially :

the study trips of the E+L.O.L project - piloted by Mr Vanderplancke and Mrs Augé [LAND(S) OF LEGENDS], reports which can also be found on the site of the participants and coordinators of our ERASMUS+ strategic partnerships named NOTRE BUREAU ERASMUS+ NBE+

and the exchanges that the Lycée Ravel hopes to organize tomorrow with Norway (FGC project by Mrs. Petoin and Mrs Fabich).

A NEW CONVERSATION to build between Basque Country and Polish Coast

Today  Messrs. Vanderplancke and Pacholczyk represented the association named ILARGIA and the Lycée Maurice Ravel during the ceremony organized at the City Hall in order to create a new association dedicated to French-Polish friendships in Saint-Jean- de-Luz. We mentioned the existence of our Erasmus + partnership with Kwidzin, the planned study travel we'll make to this destination before the summer holidays, and our intention to strengthen cooperation between young people from both nations as part of the policy of open teaching carried by Ravel High School.

Mr. Casteret, Deputy for Defense and Ceremonies, presided over this installation and Mr. Mayor participated in the cocktail that followed.

Ce soir MM Vanderplancke et Pacholczyk représentaient l'association ILARGIA et le Lycée Maurice Ravel - en l'absence de M. le Proviseur, excusé - lors de la cérémonie organisée en vue de créer une association des amitiés franco-polonaises à Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Nous avons signalé  l'existence de notre partenariat Erasmus+ avec Kwidzin, le projet de voyage d'étude envisagé vers cette destination avant les vacances d'été, et notre intention de renforcer la coopération entre jeunes des deux nations dans le cadre de la politique d'ouverture européenne et internationale du Lycée Ravel. M Casteret, Adjoint à la Défense et aux cérémonies, a présidé cette installation et M. le Maire a participé au cocktail qui a suivi.

Dans son discours, M. le Consul de Pologne en Castille et Cantabrie (présent ainsi que son homologue, M le Consul de Pologne en Navarre et Euskadi)  a rappelé les liens historiques unissant la France à la Pologne et la célébration annuelle de l'opération Ariel (1940), insistant sur l'importance de bâtir une relation sur l'Histoire mais aussi de partager un futur commun : tout un programme parfaitement compatible avec les ambitions d'une école secondaire innovante et dynamique comme l'est le Lycée Maurice Ravel. Et avec les objectifs de la Ligue Internationale pour l'Innovation pédagogique ILARGIA, dont le siège est fixé dans notre cité scolaire.

In his speech, the Consul of Poland (in Castile and Cantabria) recalled the historical ties between France and Poland and the annual celebrations of Operation Ariel (1940), emphasizing the importance of building a relationship on History but also to share a common future: a whole program perfectly compatible with the ambitions of Ravel high school.

E+L.o.L. ERASMUS+ LAND OF LEGENDS

My dear colleagues

I – INFORMATION

Our accountant is now ready to expedy you your contracts (then to give you 80% of the funds the EU has promised you, as soon as your boss will have signes the contract and sent it back to us). But our winter holidays are finishing only the 28th of february, so I believe you will have to wait a little more the documents till... very early in March.

II – SCHEDULE QUESTION

Please Angela give us the best moments you think you can choose to do C1 in Kwidzin. In may, in our case, we are free enough but we would prefer to block the very first part of the month (week 2 for example) or the farest end, to avoid a not suitable coupling with another mobility we have to do (in another partnership's progress) during the same month.

III – PEDAGOGIC ISSUES TO PREPARE C1

The first exchange main goal is to study common moral values the legends may help to be understood and shared by people. We think every school may present a power point made to prepare the meeting. A debate about would be a sort of ice breaker ?

Concerning the French future participants, they have made in classroom some works dedicated to both greek latin myths (Apulée, Artemis, Daphné, Narcissus ) and some have to study Icarus and Dedalus. So it would be interesting for them to make a brain storming with your pupils to find all the qualities and flaws and ethical values ​​conveyed by these narratives. And each of the other school could try to do the same from another type of legends ?

We (Séverine and me) wish to make you a videoconference in March (if you do agree) to fix the things with you (pedagogic preparation)? Do not dare to give informations about the weeks you cannot move to Poland in order to make easier the design of the exchange by Kwidzin team !
