I - C2 MOBILITY TO LATVIA

I.1 Slides, movies or speeches by each school (sharing of local activities)

I.1.1 / REMINDER OF THE FIVE SPECIFIC GOALS OF C2 MOBILITY

wars and boundaries (Ukrainan refugees, other bad impacts of conflicts)
across the fontiers by cultural sharings

training sessions by a video/photo expert
festive exchanges (Latvian dances to make together, a ballet to improve about our hymn)

I.1.2 / TOPICS YOU MAY WORK ON BEFORE THE EXCHANGE (IN ORDER YOUR STUDENTS PRESENT A SLIDE OR A VIDEO ABOUT)

Only two of the specific topics we have to study in Riga may be used for a slide or a video by schools. First one is about frontiers/politic borders (across the fontiers by cultural sharings+local History : empires and frontier / these themes Baldone school has planned to explore thanks to dedicated visits) Second one is about wars and boundaries (Ukrainan refugees, other bad impacts of conflicts).

PLEASE PRESENT ONLY CONTENTS ABOUT political frontiers (and/or wars and refugees) nowadays or in a historical outlook, depending of academic purposes in your country. Note « Citizen, Foreigner and Alien » is a topic to keep for C4 .

I.1.3 / CONCRETE METHODOLOGY

Your students may present quicky the list of local activities implemented in your school (only if you want to valorize it / but normally the project holders know these details thanks to the edition in our official journal : the NBE+ blogspot if you reported in the activity grids as it is planned by our monitoring method).

All your slides will be edited in our showcase (LegendE+ dissemination website) but only one output be presented in Latvia.

PLEASE LIMIT TO TEN MINUTES THE DURATION OF YOUR PERFORMANCE since sharing of local works is only a secondary point in the framework of our mobilities.

We cannot dedicated to this activity many times but we must respect deadlines and put online the outputs as the same time of the exchanges are implemented (many products and mainly the deliverables prepared by Turkish students were not shown to the audience in Cesme because we had no time enough (but I will valorize it online).

I.2 Schedule draft

Do not forget the goal of the first pedagogic phase (2023/2024 school year) is A4 activity « Study the definition of the city and the borders (thus of the territory) »; it is the main of the six aims for year n°1 you can see in the monitoring part of our coordination website NBE+

Some transnational workshops will be implemented about 1) dance, 2) empires and frontiers thanks to The War Museum, to nurish some debates about Borders, Russia, war in Ukraine, security, 3) a photo orientation game should be realized in Old Riga.

Students will take part in two workshops centered on documentary since C2 is the mobility to prepare the video package implementation (WP 4) as the same time this is the conclusive meeting of learnings about the frontiers. It means : one lesson about video footage by Louis Fabriès / one or two reporting movies to do in a transnational mode / comments of the rushes and perhaps first montage session by Louis Fabriès



I.3 Evaluation

Latvia and Italy are in charge of supervision during the first year of the second package named « SUR LES FRONTIÉRES » . WP2 programme is: Study the crossing of borders of all kinds and the limits of knowledge, in a historical and transversal approach: therefore, relate to a global vision (priority n°2) combining practical, interdisciplinary and covariant learning, in an international context and it can be divides in two parts.
2.1 Define the territorial border and its evolution over time T1
2.2 Study the overcoming of all other borders and measure the consequence of these advances and/or transgressions T1-T2

It will be mainly up to them to think at the end of this educational year on the goals which were already (totally or partially) targetted and to give some leads to help the organizers of C3 (Roma / instead of Cluj-Napoca afeter we reformatted the agenda) and C4 (Montijo).



II. QUALITY CONTROL AND ISSUES OF TEACHERS' BRAINSTORMING MADE IN C1

II.1 WP2 MONITORING

website was especially created by the Turkish team in order to put online some tools about the limits between « known and unknown » : it is the main deliverable we promised to give as a result of our science module (WP 3 coordinated by France and Turkey). Teachers did check it is very easy to show graphics and measure instruments made using python language. French and Turkish contributors are the only one who promised to make Mathematics and or Physics in this spot the name coulf be « Be.Bo.P explorer ». A part is devoted to History of Sciences and Dicoveries and must be open to contributions from all the parners. There will be also a third chapter, for drawings. We'll see further if some of these products (especially pictures made in Roma) may be impelmented in the code to serve as a graphic chart in all the posts. The Turkish school will ask for a user name in each country (it should be the responsible for WP3 according to the Gantt Chart).

II.2 WP1/A1 GLOBAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Due to local arrangements the Headmaster decided in France, the project scheduling must be changed and C5 be postponed (moving from summer, 2024) to november or december 2025. Italian proposal to organize C3 instead of the Romanian team was accepted.




Only one step is remaining : plan the exact dates for C3 implementation / it must be done in C3. The idea is to do that during the first or the second week in november. If it is not possible, perhaps to advance it a little. In any case : try to fix it asap. Concerning C4 : January is no more a priority since there is no mobility planned later in the same school year. But we cannot do it very late in 2025 due to exams.

II.3 WP1/A2 QUALITY CONTROL FOLLOW UP Some reminders were done by the International Coordinator about deadlines and/or the missing information at this moment. It is absolutely necessary to be very strict in the application of the plan and/or to well justify any change. Moreover we need more money asap in order to apply the project. A progress report is to be made by the IC during this summer. Then we should hope to have the second part of our european funds before january, 2025, perhaps even earlier.

I-REMINDER / C1 INTENTIONS ACCORDING TO OUR APPLICANT FORM

The first mobility consists essentially of cooperating to study the borders between "us" and "the others" through, in particular, the apprehension of migratory and touristic flows; it is also the first opportunity to meet "in person" the whole of the partners and therefore to overcome the stereotypes that invariably arise due to the segmentation of the world in states and nations.

frontiers and refugees (examples: crisis in Syria and the Middle East, conflicts in the Ancient Times or in the modern era...) - cultural frontiers: foreigners/aliens - in the context: local heritages and international tourism / sea and lands - festive exchanges (show of our local dances, common ballet on Turkish music or song) - first video reports (a possible topic, anatural frontier: coastline)

FOR PROJECT HOLDERS : brainstorming on some financial aspects of the Quality Control WP1 and planning concerning the WP3



II-THREE TOPICS WE MUST HAVE TALKS ON

1.The question of WP3 beginnings: since both Çeşme and Saint Jean de Luz teams are supposed to hold this work package as supervisors and Jean-Marc is present. Anyway we are waiting for the final outputs only in the 3rd school year so it seems we have time enough to plan workshops and to choose our tools. Science issues but also artistic ones (i.e. mainly the graphic chart of the dedicated website).

2.The Quality Control system: we can do a point on CP1 feedback and what we want for CP2; it is important for the progress report we'll try to make this summer to give an overview as precise as possible after C1 and C2 on: remaining funds, first outputs and outcomes. A sample of our datas was edited in the NBE+ coordination website (https://nbeplus.franceserv.eu/FU.html) but I am not sure if we need put on line all our information.

3.Deadlines and Timeline of our parnership will have to be changed and the end of educational activities must be postponed, due to our new Headmaster in France : because he wants us not to exit more than twice in a school year. It means the planning must be changed and we have not only to fix asap the C3 dates but to prepare the following step in the conversation (delays for C5 and the final meeting; we may finish in Riga).

NEWS FROM BRUSSEL AND SCHEDULE ISSUES OF eVe+ R2 TRANSNATIONAL MEETING IN CESME

Notification of project publication

ERASMUS+  informed us  that for ensuring transparency and visibility of EU funding, our project "Land of Legends" is online on the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform. from the 26th of september, 2022

A description of the partnership's contents has been published online by the commission (the coordinateur will have to add more details and some outputs).



Scheduling issues after the workshops at "Bilgic" School 

energyplus QUINTESSENCE erasmus+ R2 transnational meeting was dedicated to design our future pedagogic agenda and to check the plan of remaining mobilities (two among the main topics)..

ERASMUS MOB in France from the 10th to the 14th of october: a remote workshop will be done by the QUINTESSENCE teams (VIDEOCONFERENCE the 13th of october, 2022 at 9.00 am in this free space on line).

R3 in Cluj-Napoca from the 8nd to the 10th of november (pay attention the organizer will guess you to take part to a symposium in the framework of the ILARGIA LEAGUE ; probably the 10th of november). 

C3 RIGA: from the 28th of March (TUESDAY) to the 1st of April (SATURDAY).

R3 last seminar: to be definitively fixed during November, due to the implementation of exams in Romania which must be known in a couple of weeks. Probably 21/22/23 in June (local celebrations acme is the 24th).

DAY 1 ICE BREAKERS

Main goal: to do a common logo from drawings made in each country before the meeting. In our schools, we would ask to pupils to make some drawings about the local element (colorized in the appropriated way: for example for French pupils the goal is to make a green drawing about earth, for Cluj pupils it is to do a red drawing about the Fire,and so on...). Project holders will come to France with their students drawings, we will make copies of all the drawings and we'll dispatch the papers to some transnational teams . The teams would have to join 4 drawings they choose in a single logo (coat af arms), like you do in a puzzle. A sort of contest

Let's me first thank you to maintain all your engagement in this project, strongly impacted by the Pandemic. I have no doubt we can together overcome all the troubles in order to eventually implement all the activities and mobilities we want and I believe must be sincerely very grateful to Olga and Sanita for R1 organization (and kindness). Before I send to you in a couple of days the results of R1 meeting (new deadlines, online workshops' methodology and so on) I ask you to see by now the draft ot the complete report, to be edited very soon on NBE+ (http://nbeplus.franceserv.eu/eVeR1.html) and -it is probably the most important- I'd like you to check what I wrote in the mail to the Agency. As ir could be perhaps necessary to show a proof your headmaster/headmistress agree to ask for this extesnion of the duration and your school is ok to apply our new plan I will post tomorrow a letter from my boss to yours, in order to obtain they do sign a declaration of intention.

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL
drafted within the framework of eVe + R1 mobility (debates during the W1 workshop and formalization during the final plenary meeting)
"Taking into account the indications given on the site (COVID 19 tab) and our previous emails on the subject, I have the honor to formulate today officially on behalf of the Lycée Ravel and its partners the request for an extension of 12 months of the duration of our Erasmus + project after discussing the issue with the foreign project leaders from October 13 to 16, 2021, within the framework of the transnational meeting R1 (Boot seminar turned into a Reset meeting) and defined with them a new timetable and an educational strategy adapted to the circumstances.
Our contract having been concluded in 2020 and for 24 months, originally: its term would become August 2023 and no longer 2022 (the interim report would be postponed from September 2021 to 2022) which seems to be in harmony with the Agency's recommendations. ("End date indicated in the grant agreement. Up to 12 additional months and without exceeding 31/08/2023").
Given that the pandemic and the health protection measures have severely impacted the program of activities planned for 2020-2021, but to the extent that cooperation has nevertheless been initiated (taking the form, in particular, of a virtual workshop in December 2020 ) we agreed on a new schedule.
The planned development does not consist of postponing to 2021-2022 the activities initially planned for 2020-2021 and the program for 2022-2023 (now the last year of the project) replaces that defined originally for the year. 2021-2022 while significantly deviating from it.
Indeed, a complete reorganization of activities appeared opportune.
1 °) The first educational phase, focusing on the study of the forces of nature around the question "Energies and Myths" was, according to our application, to last a full school year (online calendar in our coordination site Our Erasmus + office NBE + on http://nbeplus.franceserv.eu/EVEprefig.html#derou). This would mean reducing its implementation in the first semester of the current school year (considered as year 1 in view of the difficulties experienced in 2020-2021, considered as year 0). Consequently, the second educational phase (on the theme "Energies and industrialization") supposed to last one semester but to be located, initially, in year 2, would be brought forward from March to August 2022. The last phase, prospective ("Sustainable energies") would instead be lengthened to take place throughout school year 2.
2) The mobility (but also the intellectual outputs expected of the pupils) will be, in the hypothesis where our proposal is validated, all carried out in accordance with the predefined plan but according to a rhythm different from that fixed in the original project. Two study trips and two graphic novels will indeed be carried out in 2021-2022, then a final study trip and a third production (conclusion of the expected "triptych") will be postponed in 2022-2023

3 °) This reorganization aims to "re-prime" the pump as soon as possible (in order not to lose, in particular, the benefit of the initial impetus which carried the learners) and is based on the reinforcement of the importance of the workshops in line (preparatory for mobility) according to modalities discussed during the R1 meeting (report on http://nbeplus.franceserv.eu/eVeR1.html).
4 °) We believe that our new strategy will allow us a certain flexibility, insofar as the agenda of the last year will, in principle be lightened, which, in the case of new difficulties related to the health context (and which would arise in particular during this school year) may authorize any postponements decided on urgently. However, the ambition of the group is rather to respect the new deadlines adopted jointly (deadlines) and to accommodate the possible occasional absence of a particular school, aiming mainly for each establishment to achieve its objectives (its number total mobility according to the initial commitments and its contribution to the common project, which must retain its transnational qualities and be the result of the cooperation of the four partners.
The proof of the consultation is undoubtedly in the participation of the schools in the R1 seminar (the Romanian team was however only able to join in by remote workshops) but we think of sending you a letter of confirmation if you wish. the sharing of our intentions, on the part of each member of the consortium.

Planning the eVe+ RESET (report of the videoconference made the 4th of september, 2021)

1 °) Organization of the first transnational meeting of the partnership
As the health context seems to allow movement across borders, we first check if the Latvian team is ready to implment R1. Each of the teams made sure of their freedom in the regard of the dates by consulting the Director beforehand.
The Rigas. 18 Vidduskola offers a launch seminar which would take place from October 12 to 16-17 (3 working days from 13 to 15 and 2 days of transport). This is a good opportunity for an effective media coverage of our cooperation, since it is the date of  #Erasmusdays.
We believe the travelers will need a complete vaccination certificate or, failing that, will have to produce the result of a recent PCR test to enter the territory of Latvia.
A point is made on the objectives assigned to mobility R1 (especially as they may have changed compared to our applicant form. The initial “boot meeting” is indeed destined to become a “reset meeting”. See the initial agenda online at http://nbeplus.franceserv.eu/EVEprefig.html#derou
2 °) Reset of the partnership
The pandemic prevented any long-range work last year. With the exception of a remote workshop made in December, it was an “empty” year. The three teams therefore agree to jointly request an extension of duration so that the first effective school year of the partnership becomes the year 2021-2022 and that the project ends in 2023. We may request the possibility of completing the partnership in December 2023, rather than June to align the eVe+ programme with new projects starting in 2021. This point will be the subject of a final decision taken in Riga, where the schedule of activities will be decided (in line with the original plan but deferred, or reworked out of necessity). The meeting will also help to define any changes in the target audience and the contents, if the need arises (according to the initial plan: year 1 was mainly focused on a study of myths and literary tasks and / or arts, year 2 was more "scientific" but this system could be amended according to the age of the selected learners).
3 °) Possibility of a virtual meeting between students
As the Lycée Ravel is due to participate on November 26 in the EUROSCOLA session wich is organized by the Parliament of Strasbourg, we think it could be interesting (for us French partner) to include this activity in a promotion week dedicated to our european and international action - in particular in order to strengthen the commitment of our students who, in principle, are in the position of hosts in year 1 and not travelers). This local activity would be carried out the week of the 26th but the previous days with various foreign correspondents (eTwinners, etc.) and could especially concern the partners of the eVe + project if they are interested in. The prefiguration of the exchanges will possibly be a topic during the mobility R1.

5 °) Coordination
Each school is requested to provide Sanita and Olga with the list of members of the delegation the team wishes to send to Riga as soon as possible, as well as the vaccination status of its members. The coordinator will quickly inquire with the French agency about the prospects for a derogatory extension of the duration of the project. He will complete the information of the host team regarding the R1 meeting issues.

THE QUINTESSENCE PARTNERSHIP: FUNDING GRANTED BY EUROPE

Projet 2020-1-FR01-KA201-080521



eVe+ Quintessence partnership (Le cinquième élément : connaître les forces de la Nature et produire une énergie Durable) was accepted, according to the Erasmus+ French National Agency website.


Impacts will have to be more detailed by the High Schools' team, and the evaluation of our common applicant form was focused on 4 items we can meliorate:

- Progress in key abilities must be analysed and monitored by all the partners (not only the International Coordinator would have to take part in this process).


- Local opening to other schools, corporates and associations will have to be developed in every country.


- Evaluation tools and sequences must be more formalized especially for the Turkish school (because it is a newbie).   The team is described as "an appropriate set of four schools" and the inclusion of Cesme as a "win-win partnership".


- Dissemination may be planned with more precisions and events be implemented in each city.


All these issues will be in the agenda of R1 (the first transnational meeting - to be done in Riga, perhaps in December).
