Hello my dear friends.

First I am praying you to accept the expression of all my gratitude for your help in the implementation of this partnership, that the Pandemic and other sad events made more complicated to implement than we first did hope. « Super Beetle » is now requested in order to write our final report and permit us to obtain as sooon as possible the total amount of the grants promised by the EU (let's cross fingers).

I think the French Erasmus+ Agency shall let us three months to complete the report and agents can wait for three months more before to pay the schools. But our common interest is to do it as quick as possible so I am begging your pardon by now, in the case I should be boring once again and send to you some questionaires during this summer so before you'll go back to school (?)

Anyway, if you have both drawings or graphic novels in your local stocks, please share its in order to enrich the collection published on our public website names Quintessence. I hope to see you again very soon, in some genial future cooperations (both the projects ACMÉ and Be.Bo.P are KA2 partnershipswich may concern you,and we'll keep in touch by eTwinning in the worst case. ILARGIA LEAGUE was also done to overcome some white periods in our relationships !).

You know how the intersectoral approach promoted by the EU and its demand for a break down of the collaborative works (fragmented in packages) in the same time an opening to different entities (not schools) was also claimed seemed me very pertubating. But we may be also optimistic and, for example, I consider the new opportunities created by the changing framework of KA2 goals will perhaps permit to do not so short meetings then the 3 days long seminars like R4 we just finished to implement, in wich it's really difficult to talk with everybody and to have enough of collective chilling moments.

IMPACTS AND INDICATORS


As we have seen during WORKSHOP 3, we must explain in the final report how we are doing now to check if these impacts are or not realized ; then to describe the reasons why we changed some of the goals and/or we were not able to target the goals. It is also a good point if we can show the Quality Control was made gradually and we were reactive and flexible in order to stay relient.You can find in NBE+ the list of all the objective and subjective indicators we planned to use before the implementation of energyplusQUINTESSENCE erasmus+ partnership (available on this page http://nbeplus.franceserv.eu/EVEprefig2.html); it can be interesting to compare with the analysis made on june 24 by people taking part in R4 meeting.


-the most EXPECTED IMPACTS were, at the beginnings :
1. Progress in academic performance and “well-being” for learners
2. Disciplinary decompartmentalization and better teamwork by teachers and learners
(re-legitimizing the assessment process, if necessary)
3. Debates on artistic expression or civics issues
4. Incentive for the material upgrading of the establishment
5. Reinforced integration into the network of local establishments
6. Better understanding of Sustainable Development through the prism of the unity of matter and living things
7. Sustainability of international and European openness by maintaining established personal relationships over time, implementing other projects and / or individual mobility beyond the partnership


-the results of the completion of questionaires made the 24th: all the impacts seems to be felt thanks to the following indicators :

1. students school performance and motivation in getting better results in exams and contests / Upgraded intercultural comunication skills, foreign language, digital and soft skills. Students updated and complimented their natural sciences knowledge / better school performance and motivation

2. They made new friends, and adapted a possitive attitude towards enviremental issues / Higher tolerance, new friendships (networking) / Better teamwork, social skills

3. Sense of empathy, responsibility and cooperation / Students are able to use different methods to create artistic works (AI, drawing, canva.com etc) / Artistic output through values of empathy and responsibility

4. Changes integration in the school curriculum / School upgraded and included some new learning methods and approaches / Integration in the school curriculum

5. Support from local authorities / Cooperation with the local NGO and schools / Support and collaboration with local authoration

6. Students became more aware of the pollutions and global warming / Students got better understanding and wider perspective of the proceses of Sustainable Development / Increased awareness as to global warming, climate change / Personal relationships and continuation of upcoming projects

7. The continuation of the projects and relationships / New friendships with future plans for further cooperation / impeccable experience

STRONGEST IMPACTS ACCORDING TO THE PROJECT HOLDERS:

Students developed social, linguistic and I.T.C skills / Awkward communication / People made a bridge across the « credibility gap » appeared beween school and learners as a consequence of the COVID

ABOUT THE MEETINGS MADE REMOTELY IN THE FUTURE KA2 PARTNERSHIPS : A big challenge for everybody, with some particular risks ; « Sometimes some technical inconveniences ( voice quality ) / remote meetings are less productive with lack of personal interaction » but « it could be solution in crisis times »

MAKING OFF A BRIDGE BETWEEN SCIENCES, HULANITIES AND ARTS TO APPLY THE Noah METHOD'S GOALS : aim was targeted for 100% of answering people ; « It is for sure because of the harmonization of values between cultures and partners / Yes, it was a unique experience!


SATISFACTION OF PUPILS AND TEACHERS : Great! (bad weather's effects on several ground activities is a challenge notified only by the Latvian team). Financial problems due to inflation are mainly : the increasing prices of accomodation and transportation.

eVe+ R3 QUINTESSENCE TRANSNATIONAL MEETING: REPORTS ARE ONLINE

 This seminar was presumed to mark the "switch" between a phase dominated by Human Studies (in the past) and the Scientific approaches to be implemented during the last school year.

You can find both the R3 "report page" and the R3 "issues (and results) page" in the project holders' special website (no mobile friendly site) dedicated to the follow up of the partnership / this site is called NBE+ (NOTRE BUREAU EUROPÉEN) and is published by the French High School in charge of the international coordination : Lycée Maurice Ravel.

Public dissemination of the activities is made by a post edited in the QUINTESSENCE portal. Note the meeting was a MULTIPLIER EVENT thanks to the organization by Romanian hosts and the ILARGIA league of lectures focused on "what is a good project".

A NEWSPAPER'S OUTLOOK ON #EITA2022 / "SUD OUEST" AND DISSEMINATION IN FRANCE

 

We celebrated the prize given for ERASMUSPLUSANIMALS the 14th of october, 2022, at the end of the ERASMUS MOB III (the dissemination event we use to implement each year in Saint Jean de Luz in order to present the internationalization of our teachings/learnings) with all our KA2 partners, holding the E+L.o.L. project and coming from Romania, Poland and Türkiye, in association with  KA1 team of Lycée Ravel (Mrs Petoin). The ceremony was made to enjoy both #EITA award and #Erasmusdays and to show how the #Erasmus+ programme is a great tool to make education systems become more inclusive and efficient. Also to thank our institutional supporters.

KA2 partners and eTwinners included in ERASMUS MOB II activities were not only the COLEGIUL ECONOMIC "IULIAN POP" in Cluj-Napoca and the DOBRICH VETERINARY HIGH SCHOOL in Dobrich (two of the three project holders involved in the cooperative programme E+A with the Agrupamento das escolas de Alcochete).  But also: the POLSKICH NOBLISTOWE school in Kwidzyn and the IMAM HAPTIP High School in Antalya ; the ULUSOY MARITIME VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL in Cesme ; former IES Stendhal (part of ViA EMERY HIGH SCHOOL) in Roma  ; the RIGAS. RAINA in Latvia ; and the BILGIC HIGH SCHOOL in Cesme.

Certificates of Attendance were given by Mr Boivin (for Mr Mayor and the Local council) Mrs Tariol (representative of the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine) and Mr Vice-Principle Kalamy

NEWS FROM BRUSSEL AND SCHEDULE ISSUES OF eVe+ R2 TRANSNATIONAL MEETING IN CESME

Notification of project publication

ERASMUS+  informed us  that for ensuring transparency and visibility of EU funding, our project "Land of Legends" is online on the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform. from the 26th of september, 2022

A description of the partnership's contents has been published online by the commission (the coordinateur will have to add more details and some outputs).



Scheduling issues after the workshops at "Bilgic" School 

energyplus QUINTESSENCE erasmus+ R2 transnational meeting was dedicated to design our future pedagogic agenda and to check the plan of remaining mobilities (two among the main topics)..

ERASMUS MOB in France from the 10th to the 14th of october: a remote workshop will be done by the QUINTESSENCE teams (VIDEOCONFERENCE the 13th of october, 2022 at 9.00 am in this free space on line).

R3 in Cluj-Napoca from the 8nd to the 10th of november (pay attention the organizer will guess you to take part to a symposium in the framework of the ILARGIA LEAGUE ; probably the 10th of november). 

C3 RIGA: from the 28th of March (TUESDAY) to the 1st of April (SATURDAY).

R3 last seminar: to be definitively fixed during November, due to the implementation of exams in Romania which must be known in a couple of weeks. Probably 21/22/23 in June (local celebrations acme is the 24th).

I – SECOND AMENDMENT WAS ACCEPTED BY THE FRENCH N/A 
Olga and Sanita will go on to hold the project in Latvia, from their new school (named Rigas.Raina) after the Rigas. 18 vidduskola was definitively closed. The local coordinator becomes Mrs Prof Vivita Ponciusa. Except for a huge surprise, the integration of this new partner will be acted very soon, just after the exchange of signatures between the headmasters (in a couple of weeks). Sauf énorme suprise, l'intégration d'un nouveau partenaire après la fermeture de la Rigas. 18 sera prochainement actée après l'échange des signatures entre les chefs d'établissement et la Rigas. Raina se substituera à notre ancien partenaire pour mettre en oeuvre la coopération selon le calendrier et les modalités déjà prévues par le projet QUINTESSENCE. 

II – RESPECT OF THE PLAN MUST BE CHECKED BY EVERY TEAM 
School partners must target all the common applicant's goals in order to be totally granted by the EU. Especially in the case of this KA 201 project, due to the postponed payment of 20% of the promised amounts after the acceptance of the final report (next summer, 2023). It is very important to do all the mobilities you are presumed to implement. 3 adults in each “R international meeting” (or, if you prefer: 9 mobilities at the end of the project / as a minima). 5 students and 2 teachers in each “C study travel” (or 15 mobilities for pupils and 6 for adults at the end of the partnership). Do not forget: you are free to make more mobilities and are authorized to use 20% of the management funds to realize it but shall be “punished” if you do less than your promise (if the total number of outing mobilities is not equal or superior to these values, you are sure to loose a part of your money!). As the Pandemic situation impacted the beginning of the activities, some of you may have to add in the future some individual mobilities in the next events (R2 in Çesme, C3 in Riga, then R3 and R4) to reach their own quantitative aims and target our common objectives. 
Vérifiez que vous aurez bien réalisé, à la fin du partenariat un nombre de mobilités au moins égal à celui que nous nous étions fixés comme objectif de départ (il est loisible de faire davantage de voyages que prévu mais interdit d'en faire moins sous peine de sanction financière).

III – R3 AGENDA 
 This seminar was fixed from the 26th to the 28th of september in Türkiye.

R3 MAIN ISSUES would be: 

MIDTERM QUALITY CONTROL and coordination in order to adjust the mobilities (especially: how many foreign students in the last travel) and see our the reformatted plan (made in Riga during R1) is really applied. 

CONCRETE PEDAGOGIC GOALS to be (re)defined for C3. We must choose to produce one graphic novel integrating some of C1 and C2 outputs or to present a compilation od results of the 3 study travels (but I think the best would be to make both tasks – anyway we must decide together). 

SCHEDULING AND PREPARATION OF THE eVe+ VIDEOCONFERENCES to be implemented during the “ERASMUS MOB week” done in France from the 11th to the 13rd of october. Orders must be given before R1 to the most interested and/or talentuous students to write and/or to draw some synopsises for a common tale about energies including mythologic, socail ansd scientific issues. The modalities of the videoconference (one or several ones to confront, choose and/or comment the drafts) would be decided during R1

THE ALCHEMIST'S GATEWAY (a sample of the first productions by eVe+ partners )


DOING A TRANSNATIONAL NARRATIVE WAS THE MAIN GOAL OF TCA IMPLEMENTED DURING C1 FIRST STUDY STRAVEL TO FRANCE ("Premiers desseins").

IT SEEMS IN FACT SEVERAL STORIES WERE PRODUCED AND ALL THESE GRAPHIC NOVEL WILL HAVE TO BE PUBLISHED ASAP IN OUR DISSEMINATION WEBSITE.....


Once upon a time there was a very famous Alchemist, who had devoted his whole life to the search for the Philosopher's Stone. At that time, the Earth was perfectly flat except in a hollow where the vast ocean lay, its surface was warm and all kinds of trees and flowers grew there in abundance: people had only to plant and sow to live happily and feed ourselves.

 
But the Alchemist dreamed of extracting energy from the Earth to move all kinds of machines he had dreamed of, which would have allowed, according to him, Men to sail on the waters or to traverse the plains in all directions and effortlessly, to live in tall towers lit up at night and no longer have to work.
 
His young disciple having finally found, somewhere on the beach surrounding the ocean, an amber stone which seemed to him to be the Philosopher's Stone, he undertook to use it to open a door in the bowels of the Earth and finally access to the lake of vapor which he thought lay at his heart.

I - It was said after the W2 Workshop's debates (in the "R1 reset meeting") that the deadline to check your local pedagogic plans would be very short... and fixed on the 8th of november. That is the reason why I am sending you today a form in wich you can enlist the topics you may/wish implement during the next 2 phases (theoretically, phase 1 must end in March, or later but as soon as you ll be able to come to France for C1 ; and phase 2 must end in August, after we came back from Romania for C2 and R2 in May and June). .

PLEASE COMPLETE IT AND MAIL IT ASAP!

   


II - Even if the situation remains complicated, especially in the eastern part of Europe, and could badly impact our schedule, I think we must pretend we have no doubt about our capacity to follow the plan, till before the N/A approves the request for an amendment we decided to ask for. But I am afraid our claim for an extension of the duration cannot be instructed before all the teams do sign the declaration of intention we have transmitted.

III – Next international note will be written: in order to ensure the Quality Control is coordinated and to implement our next remote Workshop. I understood (taking part in Riga brain storming) that you think the best choice to rally all the schools in the same time is to implement a videoconference on Friday, from 10:30 am to 12:10 or a little later (French time, so it means from 11 :30 to 13 : 10 for all of you). Another solution is maybe to organize it on Tuesday at the same time?

PLEASE CONFIRM YOU DO PREFER: FRIDAY DAY AS THE D DAY, BUT TELL US IF SOMETIMES TUESDAY COUD BE USED TOO. OR DEFINITIVELY NOT.

My dear colleagues

Let's me first thank you to maintain all your engagement in this project, strongly impacted by the Pandemic. I have no doubt we can together overcome all the troubles in order to eventually implement all the activities and mobilities we want and I believe must be sincerely very grateful to Olga and Sanita for R1 organization (and kindness). Before I send to you in a couple of days the results of R1 meeting (new deadlines, online workshops' methodology and so on) I ask you to see by now the draft ot the complete report, to be edited very soon on NBE+ (http://nbeplus.franceserv.eu/eVeR1.html) and -it is probably the most important- I'd like you to check what I wrote in the mail to the Agency. As ir could be perhaps necessary to show a proof your headmaster/headmistress agree to ask for this extesnion of the duration and your school is ok to apply our new plan I will post tomorrow a letter from my boss to yours, in order to obtain they do sign a declaration of intention.

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL
drafted within the framework of eVe + R1 mobility (debates during the W1 workshop and formalization during the final plenary meeting)
"Taking into account the indications given on the site (COVID 19 tab) and our previous emails on the subject, I have the honor to formulate today officially on behalf of the Lycée Ravel and its partners the request for an extension of 12 months of the duration of our Erasmus + project after discussing the issue with the foreign project leaders from October 13 to 16, 2021, within the framework of the transnational meeting R1 (Boot seminar turned into a Reset meeting) and defined with them a new timetable and an educational strategy adapted to the circumstances.
Our contract having been concluded in 2020 and for 24 months, originally: its term would become August 2023 and no longer 2022 (the interim report would be postponed from September 2021 to 2022) which seems to be in harmony with the Agency's recommendations. ("End date indicated in the grant agreement. Up to 12 additional months and without exceeding 31/08/2023").
Given that the pandemic and the health protection measures have severely impacted the program of activities planned for 2020-2021, but to the extent that cooperation has nevertheless been initiated (taking the form, in particular, of a virtual workshop in December 2020 ) we agreed on a new schedule.
The planned development does not consist of postponing to 2021-2022 the activities initially planned for 2020-2021 and the program for 2022-2023 (now the last year of the project) replaces that defined originally for the year. 2021-2022 while significantly deviating from it.
Indeed, a complete reorganization of activities appeared opportune.
1 °) The first educational phase, focusing on the study of the forces of nature around the question "Energies and Myths" was, according to our application, to last a full school year (online calendar in our coordination site Our Erasmus + office NBE + on http://nbeplus.franceserv.eu/EVEprefig.html#derou). This would mean reducing its implementation in the first semester of the current school year (considered as year 1 in view of the difficulties experienced in 2020-2021, considered as year 0). Consequently, the second educational phase (on the theme "Energies and industrialization") supposed to last one semester but to be located, initially, in year 2, would be brought forward from March to August 2022. The last phase, prospective ("Sustainable energies") would instead be lengthened to take place throughout school year 2.
2) The mobility (but also the intellectual outputs expected of the pupils) will be, in the hypothesis where our proposal is validated, all carried out in accordance with the predefined plan but according to a rhythm different from that fixed in the original project. Two study trips and two graphic novels will indeed be carried out in 2021-2022, then a final study trip and a third production (conclusion of the expected "triptych") will be postponed in 2022-2023

4 °) We believe that our new strategy will allow us a certain flexibility, insofar as the agenda of the last year will, in principle be lightened, which, in the case of new difficulties related to the health context (and which would arise in particular during this school year) may authorize any postponements decided on urgently. eVe+ QUINTESSENCE RESET: soon, the project holders' trip to Riga (from the 12th to the 16th of october 2021)

Rigas.18 vidduskola will host the first transnational meeting made in order to plan the pedagogic activities and to redo the project's agenda after the Pandemic did stop the normal implementation process last year.

MILLENIALS : ideas for eVe+ partnership

 

Our former expert Louis Fabriès took part in the movie making of THE ARK at the end of E+A project. His pictures of young amateur models are valorized during this summer by the "Troisième Session' galery, situated in Soorts-Hossegor.

We visited today the place, cause a great number of the "guest stars" were choosen by Louis among our students...  and also because the photographer / artist will probably be sollicited in order to support our current Erasmus+ partnership: eVe+ project.



Produce some graphics, drawings and all sort of pics to make together some transnational narratives is indeed one of the main goal of the european study we want to do about natural forces and sustainable energies.

UNE SEMAINE DE RENCONTRE VIRTUELLE ERASMUS MOB / on line exchanges AND THE ONLY ONE KA201 BETWEEN SCHOOLS IN BORDEAUX ACADEMIC AREA

 

Le Lycée Ravel organisera une semaine de mobilisation en faveur de l'action européenne et internationale de l'établissement du 14 au 18 décembre. Des ateliers "en ligne" permettront ainsi à une centaine de lycéen(ne)s français(es) présents en cours - et à d'autres qui, compte tenu du protocole sanitaire renforcé actuellement en vigueur, suivront la rencontre "à distance" de mener diverses activités avec des partenaires européens en Bulgarie, en Lettonie, au Portugal, en Roumanie et en Turquie.

Ces visioconférences seront l'occasion d'affirmer symboliquement l'attachement de la communauté à l'internationalisation des enseignements et de présenter des travaux réalisés dans le cadre du partenariat QUINTESSENCE (2020-2022) centré sur "les forces de la nature et la production d'une énergie durable". Des préoccupations fortes de la cité scolaire Maurice Ravel (dont le projet d'échanges scolaires avec l'Espagne porté par le Collège a été récemment prolongé d'un an) encouragées par l'Académie de Bordeaux.

The Lycée Ravel will implement an educational rally in favor of the school's European and international action from December 14 to 18. "Online" workshops will thus allow around 100 French students present in class - and others who, due to the reinforced health protocol currently in force, will take part in the meeting "remotely" to carry out various activities with European partners in Bulgaria, Latvia, Portugal, Romania and Turkey.
These videoconferences will be the opportunity to symbolically affirm the community's attachment to the internationalization of teaching and to present work carried out within the framework of the QUINTESSENCE partnership (2020-2022) focused on "the forces of nature and sustainable energies ". Two strong concern of the Maurice Ravel ""cité scolaire" (whose school exchange project with Spain College was recently extended by one year) encouraged by the Academy of Bordeaux.

eVe+ dissemination: first article in the local Newspaper the 20th of october, 2020

SUD OUEST has published this morning  a little information about the inauguration of the QUINTESSENCE corner made the 16th of october in Lycée Ravel's lobby. Thanks to Mr Headmaster and to VIPs (local advisors and Mrs the regional deputy) to be with us and to support this new transnational project . It is said our students will also take part of the ERASMUSPLUSANIMALS partnership (as the end of e+a was postponed to december, 2020).

ERASMUSDAY AND QUINTESSENCE PROJECT BEGINNINGS IN FRANCE

 


THE 16th OF OCTOBER, 2020


Mrs Dutoya, deputy of the Regional council, and some representatives of Saint Jean de Luz city: Mrs Arribas (in charge of school affairs) and Mr Quijano (international relationships) were in the High School's lobby last Friday in order to inaugurate the new Corner implemented to present the first results of the eVe+ partnership.




We did a photography with Mr Headmaster, Teachers and some of the students of the targeted group after they finished to ornament a blackboard with drawings inspired by water cycle problematics.




The period of Erasmusdays was also chosen by our National Agencey to send us a commemorative plaque of the "Good Practice" label wich was decerned to us by the National Agency for the management of our european partnerships (Nuits Blanches then Erasmusplusanimals) from 2014 to 2020.



The SECONDE OIB team will be involved in the eVE+ partnership from 2020 to 2022 and will take part of the last round of E+A project (wich duration was extended till December, 2020).
Students produced some drawings about one of the 4 elements: Water- and they will share its as soon as possible online.

FIRST NOTE TO PROJECT HOLDERS OF eVe+ PARTNERSHIP 2020-2022

Le cinquième élément : connaître les forces de la Nature et produire une énergie durable


The French Agency has just sent us the contract confirming the acceptance of our partnership project. This paper did not arrive in the mail until this last Friday, in late from our point of view (cause we were impatient). Signing the agreement quickly should now allow us to receive an advance on the grants that have been promised to us (but a delay of 45 days can intervene between the reception of the document and the first payments).

As no revision of the amount of funds allocated to the Ravel high school has been announced to us, there is no reason why you should not receive the entire grant requested in the application file and your own national agency should not delay in make you a contract similar to ours.

I am afraid it may be difficult to start joint activities while we are still without financial means and I know the pandemic threatens the holding of the first meeting scheduled for December. But I will contact you in a few weeks in order to try to implement a first video workshop remotely (so that our students can make a first drawing together by connecting at the same time: probably a Wednesday at the beginning of the afternoon or during the meridian break if everyone can accept this schedule). Perhaps most of the cooperative activities shall really start in 2021, especially if the launch seminar has to be postponed. By now, wait and see: this point could be the subject of a joint decision (depending on the health situation) taken by videoconference.

All the partners can already recruit the students they wish to involve (in France, a hard core of around twenty 15 years old students from SECONDE INTERNATIONALE and some volunteers from 16 to 18 from all the classes, who will be willing to participate freely in Erasmus + activities (by getting involved in particular in a drawing workshop but also by supporting our school which should welcome foreign students in November as part of another project).

We went back to school on the 1st of september but you are probably just beginning the reloading after Quarantaine time and Holidays, so I believe you are very busy.

POST SCRIPTUM It must be possible to meliorate our logo with something in the piece of color instead the three, cloud ...and so on. More typically linked to our country or our school so it can be a subject for a joint work.
